Publisher terms

The outline of the agreement between SofAds and game developers who show SofAds ads.

Draft placeholder, not an offer. These are the points the final terms will cover, written down so publishers know what to expect. Nothing on this page is binding. The signed agreement will replace it. Questions: hello@sofads.com.

1. Parties and scope

An agreement between SofAds and the organization that registers apps in the SofAds dashboard at app.sofads.com. TODO(legal): entity details, governing law, jurisdiction.

2. Integration

  • You integrate the SofAds SDK as documented and don't modify how it renders, measures or reports ads.
  • You don't click, scan or view ads to inflate numbers, or ask anyone else to.
  • Each store listing must carry the SofAds line in the app-ads.txt on your developer website. Until it does, the listing receives test ads only. (Setup help: app-ads.txt for TV apps.)
  • You list your games in the dashboard truthfully, including the content rating.
  • For each app you answer whether it is made for children. Whether an app is made for children is the publisher's own declaration and responsibility. SofAds relies on that answer to switch off device identifiers and personalized ads for the app, as described in the ad policy.

3. sellers.json and transparency

SofAds publishes a sellers.json listing each publisher's seller ID and type, and passes a supply chain object to demand partners. TODO(legal): whether publishers may opt for a confidential sellers.json entry.

4. Revenue share

You receive a share of the net revenue SofAds receives for ads shown in your games. TODO(legal): default publisher share percentage; whether shares differ per demand source.

5. Payment

  • All earnings are calculated and paid in US dollars.
  • Estimated earnings are shown in the dashboard as they accrue. They become final once the demand partner has reported the period.
  • Pay when paid: final earnings become payable only after SofAds has received the partner's payment for that period.
  • Balances below the payout threshold carry forward to the next period. TODO(legal): threshold amount in USD; payment schedule; supported payment methods; who bears transfer fees.
  • You provide accurate payout details (legal name, address, VAT number, bank details) in the dashboard. TODO(legal): tax and invoicing treatment, including self-billing.

6. Invalid traffic and adjustments

Earnings from invalid traffic (for example, impressions with mismatched app IDs, expired ad tokens or automated activity), or that a partner refuses to pay, are not payable. Corrections appear as separate adjustment entries in your earnings history, never as silent edits. TODO(legal): dispute window and clawback rules.

7. Content

Every ad SofAds serves in your apps follows the SofAds ad policy: family-safe only, with the prohibited categories, creative standards and the rules for apps made for children listed there. TODO(legal): prohibited app content; advertiser category blocking options for publishers.

8. Data protection

You show the consent panel the SDK provides (or an IAB TCF-compliant equivalent) where consent is required, and link to a privacy policy that mentions SofAds. How SofAds handles data is described in our privacy policy. TODO(legal): data processing / joint-controller agreement.

9. Term and termination

TODO(legal): notice period; effect of termination on unpaid balances; suspension for breach.

10. Liability

TODO(legal): limitation of liability, warranties, indemnities.
